Is your car not parked over the dividing line ?.

I was in a section where nobody was parked, my car was perfectly in the tiny space. But this caused a slight overhand by 2inches.

There was no need for them to hit my car, or to even have parked there. The place is huge and there was hundreads of spaces.

Not only that, but they drove into mine and then continued to push back until my numberplate bracket had gone into my bumper.

I think they got off lightly, good job I was trying to be cool in front of the girlfriend.

It's the wheels that have to be within the parking space, not the bumpers.

And how could that person not realise they'd hit your car?! If they DID know, then why didn't they move? Some appauling drivers around!

So did you just drive off?

Yeah, I got a couple of photos but had no paper or pen to make notes.

Could have used my key but it could have been someones Grandparents, then whos the bad person.

Still, gives me a reason for getting a new kit. Already had the Mrs moaning about me buying it.

i had the best person ever parked next to my car the other day.

I went to sainsburys and i park my car next to this whie car...cant remember what it was.

As i walked away from my car i kept looking back thinking "should have i parked there? What happens if he doesnt care and opens his doors against my bodywork?"

But was i was looking back i saw the man go to his white car and start to load is shopping in this boot.

So it was to late tbh as i was at sainsburys front door.

I got my Lynx and shampoo, paid, and headed back to my car with the worry that a carless driver had made dents.

But low and behold there he was sitting in his car waiting for me to return and drive off prosuming so he wouldnt damage my car when he reversed out of his space (as i parked rather close to him), i noddied to say thanks and he nodded back with a smile!

What a nice fella lol.

In the case of some sort of emergency or life threatening incident, I'll take my supra to a car park like that. But I put a child seat in the car so I can park in the 'mother baby spaces' that are massive. you can open a supra door full and still not contact the car next to you. Failing that, I'll find the most expensive car, that's clearly someones pride and joy and park next to it, knowing full well he won't ding your door with his.

Mother and baby spaces are a boon to drivers of cars with large doors :)

My view is they have made their lifestyle choice to have kids, mine is to drive a Supe. Both are equally valid and therefore both equally deserve wide parking spaces.

So far only one foul-mouthed chavette with several little darlings has argued, but not cohesively (She also parked in a normal space before I drove into the wide bay).

I don't care what car it is, people that park in Mother and child or disabled parking spaces when they neither have kid's, or are not disabled, really piss me off. :spank:

I agree about disabled bays but parenthood is not a disability and I don't see why it deserves preferential treatment. If anything, breeding should be discouraged as the planet is already overcrowded.

No it's not a disability, but have you ever tried getting a baby out of a car when you don't have the room to open the door ?. That's why the space's are bigger  .
