Guest artbran
Hey guys... I bought a theft recovery Supra a few months back which was missing the motor, tans, dash panels, and the front end. Anyway, I bought a front clip from Japan and am in the process of swapping in the VVT-i motor that came from the front clip. Now, my issue is about the wiring. Since the motor is newer than the car and because its now VVT-i and not the older version of the motor, Toyota changed the wiring on it a bit I have found. There are a few sets of connectors that go into the car. 6 of them go to the ECU while the other 3 plug into the dash harness or the junction box. Well, my issue lies there. I was wondering if anyone here by chance has the wiring diagram/pinout diagram for the 3 connectors i'm speaking of? They are the large orange colored one that plugs into the dash harness, as well as the gray and white connectors that plug into the junction box. Or someone that swapped a VVT-i 2JZ-GTE into their car and knows the wiring, that would be great! Thanks in advance! -Art
JustGav
The dash wiring looms are somewhat different, and you will require a few pieces. Ask away really... I did a complete reloom of the car which made things a lot easier, trying to hack a non-vvti loom into a vvti loom can be somewhat troublesome. I have wiring diagrams for both. Guest artbran
Justgav, Thank you for getting back to me. I was wondering if your diagrams are in english or not.. Or translated maybe for the VVTi side? How would I go about in getting those from you? Thank You, -Art
