ah thats the one ive been seeing alot of , any good ?

Rate it very highly mate.

It's a versatile alarm which has two extra buttons so you can set it up to do various other things afaik.

Mine is just a standard alarm / immobiliser, however as I said in over 2 years it hasn't done me wrong with only a few false alarms (usually due to high winds).

Come in at a very good price too I believe, although mine was already installed when I bought the car :)

Viper are made by clifford so there a good company, but if anyone trys or does break in my car my alarm FOB beeps and on the small screen it tell me what part of the alarm is triggered.

And when u get those time of "ah crap, did it lock it or not?" no worrys just look at the screen and it says wether the car is locked or not, also the time etc...

Viper 480xv here with the 2way LCD remote thing. It's a great alarm and it's compatible with most Clifford accessories as they're made by the same company.

yer i had that one on my Corrado there very simler to the 500xv

The 480's are a lil cheaper as they are not colour screen, but i got my 500xv at a great price of £280 fitted, they came to me and did it aswell, my local audio place thats good prices couldnt do better than £400 fitted so £280 is a bargin!

Remote start is about £200 extra! The 500xv system will over so many optional extras like open trunk, lower the soft top etc..... As far as im are you can have it apart of any electrical part of the car! lol ;)

I have a clifford concept 650 on mine. Beem no trouble at all in the few years I have had it. It's got lots of features including that can be added like remote start, blackjax, etc.

Seems to work very well when the roof is of, only activating by actually leaning into the car.

  • 4 weeks later...

i had 1 problem when the arial stoped sending signals to the fob, but got a new arial under warrantee and everything is fine now :)

And some one shunted into the back end of my car last week (while my car was parked) and low and behold the fob started beeping displaying "Impact Sensor" So all worked well...
