absz Posted October 22, 2009 Share Posted October 22, 2009 1/ problems no warm air from heater--CHECK level of coolant,possible blocked heater matrix ? 2/centrel locking is not working -- check fuses in the footwell but i beleive the electric windows share the same fuse . so might be a feed problem at the switch socket. 3/ horn proberly faulty. When you turn the heater hot to cold or vice versa, do you hear the flaps move? If no then that's electrics. imo You say central locking is not working..... Off a fob or key? The horn will probably be fooked. Get the premium horn kit as a replacement if it is. Quick way to check is to take a wire and touch the positive wire onto its terminal from the battery. Should be something like this? Might be a bit different though so you might need the exact model. Going by this it appears the doors should be 30A? stevie_b Posted October 28, 2009 Share Posted October 28, 2009 If using the central locking blows the fuse, then the next step as you say would be to remove the door card. There's a guide on here on how to do it, it's pretty simple. My guess is that the +ve feed to the door locking motor has lost its insulation and is either touching the bodywork or touching the -ve feed.
