trinitom
i think you will be better with a new one, but it can be done.
bigbloodyturbo
I've heard of it being done but thats usually on 10 year old mondeo's not big power jap turbo motors. Probably best to buy a new one as they're only a couple hundred quid compared to the damage caused by a skimmed one letting go, though I could be wrong:)

Chris Wilson
Is it a dual mass flywheel, or a single piece unit? Single piece can be ground flat but should be re balanced and crack tested. By the time you have done all this you could have bought a new one! Dual mass cannot be re surfaced successfully. Now, please, no more questions about old engines and old Soarers, this is a respectable forum
