AndrewOW
Well done Adrian. It's really satisfying making something with your bare hands, isn't it? Considering I'd never done any carpentry since school, I managed to knock up 2 ottoman's; one in the style of my current bedroom furniture (shaker style), and the other I made into a toy box for my nephew on his 1st birthday, including his name and date of birth. I'll have to take some pics and put them on here, as I am really very proud of them.

Definately, I reckon that would bring a tear to the eye of most granparents. Having their gandchild make them somthing so heartfelt. I know mine would have. Topped with what old people like best; Homemade produce - you're on to a winner!
