JohnK
Just noticed last night thet the green LED for drive has stopped working, anyone else had this happen, is it easy to fix, or is the LED easy to get to?
matt
Its a job best left until you change the dial faces ... The dial/needle have to be removed to get to the screws that fasten the tach to the instrument panel.

Steve W
You're not alone John, I'm missing one of the auto'box LEDs and the O/D OFF LED ! ! I sometimes knock the O/D off by accident and takes me a couple of minutes to think "mmm....engines' revving a bit today.....DOH!" Fat S. JamesG
My drive LED disappeared the first time I took the dashboard off, although I didn't remove any of the dials. I thought maybe I'd trapped one of the wires behind the dash. All my other LEDs are okay. James.
Gaz Walker
Who cares anyway, I never look at it I am replacing mine with a TRD 10K RPM Tacho so will lose the function anyway... Gaz.
redline Rooster
Are they LEDs behind the Rev gauge or are the just small light bulbs like the rest of the ones in the display pods!??!!??! I guess either way it doesn't matter - if they're and arse to get to then your still shagged!! On one of my first cars, it seemed to have a habit of going thru dash lights like there was no tomorrow! - so i replaced all the bulbs with cool hi-brightness green LEDs!! cheap simple mod, and the main thing was that i knew i'd never have to replace a damn dash light again!!! ahhhhhhh! JamesG
If I were changing the lights behind the dash, I'd want all red lights (probably LEDs or whatever would get a nice even light across the dials). Audi's have red displays and they look really good. The indiglo type displays look good too but I wonder if the light would be dazzling at night? James. Ibrar Jabbar
No LED's, just small bulbs.
redline Rooster
Ibrar : Yeah i thought that would be the case! James : Well you can choose any colour LED for your dash replace ment! - Red does look good, blue is cool, too, but blue LEDs are very expensive!! I'm doing my mate car at the moment in with a variable colour system!! - using LEDs that can make anycolour you want by controlling the intensity of the red/green/blue leds inside the package! - it should look excellent when its done! as he'll be able to choose what ever shade/colour he wants! Steve W
mmmmmm...... THEN you can change the Stereo to match the Dash, OR, the Dash to match the Stereo ! ! (and both to match the mood you're in !) NOW, how can we do the same to the EXTERIOR ? (TVR-type paint with a controller knob ? ?) Fat S.
