jonathanc
Hi all, I bought a slim ballast HID kit from eBay but it can't light up There's only 1 way of connecting things and I am sure it's correct. Emailed the company but still no reply... I'm wondering if anyone else tried this kit before? Any help/advice welcomed. Thanks. Lukeyboy2k
Of all the 4 different kits I've used on Supras I had to plug them in the "wrong" way round. (None had the slim ballasts, but the principle is probably the same). I'd try the connection where the red wire meets the black/red bit first. Failing that, the next area I'd try would be where the kit plugs into the factory loom. Sometimes a bit of "persuasion" is required.. imi
- you sure its connected properly, earth and all - did you try the other bulb. - Try the 2nd ballast - get a ballast of a member who lives close by and try it out.

Bit of pushing and wiggling and they worked.
Nic
Try connecting directly to the battery, try terminals both way around as already suggested.
jonathanc
Hi all, Thanks for the suggestions. I tried both ballasts on both headlights but it doesn't seem to work. I will try to plug the thing the wrong way round and see if that will work. By that you guys meant turning the red connector from the ballast with the black one from the bulb? Konrad
Connect plug which is going into original headlight socket other way around. It's common thing.

DSK
was any re-alignment of the lights required to ensure the beam is correct? Can't wait until I have my HIDS4U kit installed tomorrow, yours are looking good.
Mcgoo
Mine looked ok on the road, but I had it checked anyway and they ended up raising the beam slightly- which was nice. A blinding mod for the money!
imi
Glad you got it sorted- how much did that kit cost you and what colour temps did you go for?
