Guest sc300gte Posted October 19, 2009 Share Posted October 19, 2009 ok so i was drifting at a event this weekend and all of the sudden in mid drift the car lost power and now it wont start. pulled the plugs and checked for spark. nothing and i am totaly lost i checked to make sure the crank sensor hadnt worked its was lose and checked the cam sensors as well. anybody have idea? absz Posted October 19, 2009 Share Posted October 19, 2009 IF its the crank sensor or feed to/from sensor then the rev counter needle when not bounce when cranking over. you should see the needle move. if thats ok then check to see that you have the positive feed to coilpacks with ignition on. Guest Cody Phillips Posted October 20, 2009 Share Posted October 20, 2009 It may be the pickup gear on the crank sensor has come loose from the lower timing gear. I've seen this MANY times, especially if the car just randomly stops running. Have you been experiencing any misfires lately??? Guest sc300gte Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 yeah i had a friend tell me to check the gear and saturday im goin to take the tbelt cover off and look at it also ive heard that when you do a lot of high reving the intake cam can break? does anybody know if thats true?
