Quick way to add some class to the Supra?

With the slightly sombre news around here lately I thought I would show you a couple of pictures I have seen on my travels.

I thought I had seen it all, nasty body kits, fake blow off noises and even 'M' badges on a fiat stilo.

THEN! one quiet day back in june I was walking through the car park at my local shopping centre and something shiny caught my eye, whats that? It couldn't be could it???

Sweet jesus!

This was on a honda accord! Looks just like the spirit of exctasy on a rolls royce. On closer inspection it looks like they had glued it to the bonnet.

How could that ever be beaten I thought? I travel quite a bit for my job and what do I see in another car park!?

They were very popular in that fancy London many years ago. Princess Di had one and that sparked it all off. I think hers was a duck on a Range Rover, but that's purely from memory.

Very dangerous though, that area is where your head will slam into the bonnet if you get hit in the legs as you step off the pavement.

Iv seen police asking people to take them off of cars before because they are dangerous if you hit someone :)

i can see it now...

RTA casualty: how bad is it doc?

Paramedic: its bad,you were hit by a car travelling at over 50mph.youre likely to lose both your legs and arms but count yourself lucky that the car didnt have a stick on monopoly character on the bonnet cos that could have caused some serious damage.

Yes, but get hit at 30mph and have maybe two broken legs, or some hip damage......and then a fatal head injury because some idiot stuck a pewter horse to their bonnet. You may recall Jaguar introduced a system where an airbag went off under the bonnet to raise it up a few inches in the event of a pedestrian crash, and a lot of modern cars now have a lot of thought put into the design of what lies under the bonnet at the windscreen end for the same reason.

Stick one of those on your bonnet and from a pedestrian's point of view you may as well stick a pen-knife or a short paring knife there. From a pedestrian's point of view, it might be better to get hit with the knife: at least it should make a clean-ish incision (on the way in at least). I imagine the monopoly counter would cause highly concentrated bruising, and possibly rupture the skin. Nice.

I dont think I would be too worried about highly concentrated bruising or possibly ruptured skin from that if I was hit by a car, at 30mph or 50mph, I would be more worried about my legs/arms/back/kneck being broken or possibly death.

The damage those little things would cause in comparison to being hit by the car in the first place is negligable.

I cant believe you guys actually think this would cause a serious injury compared to the car in the first place........
