Guest putputcar
Hi all, Can you change out the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission o without take the transmission off? At first my speedometer and odometer are registering any speed and trip. After I open up the dash, clean up the solders a little bit, so now it odometer is registering but the speedometer still not reading at all. I think the speed sensor is bad. I’m new to the supra, Let me know what you think I should do first. Thanks
Swampy442
I take it you have an auto? If so yes, you can remove it with the gearbox in. Its at the rear of the 'box where the output shaft is

JustGav
I would check the wiring, the odo and things first, it isn't very likely that the speed sensor is faulty. Usually down to converters and buffer circuits. Do a search for 'error code 42'.
