Sent you a PM buddy, try A-Plan Thatcham branch. Previously with Elephant on my NA, switched over to them when I bought my UK.

Quite competative and recently renewed. Didn't even go out and compare any quotes, rang them up and said I was a bit disappointed with the discount from 3 to 4 years NCB and they lowered it without any arguement :) Happy, no hassle and very easy to deal with.

I'm paying £214 a month over 10 with bell for an NA! :( 22 no NCB as i've been on my mums policy since i started till now! I was 21 when I took the policy out, thats with a grand excess, its due for renewal in january so see how high it is then.

I'm goin to be ringing adrian flux i think £1600 for a single is superb!

That's pretty good dude. When I bought my NA at 21 in the same situation as you with zero NCB as it was my first insurance policy I paid £2300 for ten months :( did drop to £1300 at the next renewal though. At the same time I couldve got a uk insured fo lr £1000 less! But finding a UK within my budget nearly 8 years ago was impossible.

Miko let us know how you get on with insuring a single. I started mine when I was 25 years old. Really it's gotta be the specialist brokers/underwriters that understand the situation. Not a boy racer but an enthusiast who'll want to look after that kind of car etc.
