CardiffSupra
I had a bad time when i 1st got me soop about 4-5months back, Picked her up and drove to a pertol station, I didnt feel confident driving it as iv never drove an auto before, pulled up in the station and went to put my foot on the clutch (most of u will know an auto doesnt have a clutch) The breaks slammed on and 2 boys were laughing at me. I put the petrol in the car after looking for the cap popper for 10mins, Payed the lady then went back to my new baby to try and start her up...... Ummmmmm nothing, i sat in the petrol station with people beeping me, i had to ring the garage and ask them how i start the car. I felt a right tit, took me about 30mins to use the pump

veilsideTT
Best one was when i moved in my new house about a year & 1/2 ago now. We got invited to next doors BBQ and one of the "older generation" neighbours said to me................. "I had a car that had a blowing exhaust once, you can get them repaired you know" I didn't have the heart to say anything!

Ewen
My first MkIII had the reg ,,,,NAF - not good. The only time Ive had an embarassing moment in a MkIV was trying to get up a slight slope in the office car park after it had snowed, also not good. Geoff Buckley
but only a little one. Geoff, is that really your name or are you a bad spelling fan?? No, that's really my name. Maybe you're just too young to know that 'Jeff' is the way the Yanks spell it, not the REAL 'English' spelling.....never heard of Geoff Boycott? Look him up. At least I'm not a bird called Tiffany or Chelsea, or Queens Park Rangers or summing innit?
Jake
Maybe you're just too young to know that 'Jeff' is the way the Yanks spell it, not the REAL 'English' spelling.....never heard of Geoff Boycott? ...or Geoffrey from Rainbow ...or Geoff Valenti How odd that someone thinks Geoff isn't a proper name (No offence meant Mav) I suppose you're right Geoff, it must be an age thing. I think most Geoffs are 40 plus. I guess the name must have gone out of fashion in the 1960s.
SupraStar 3000
A mate asked if I would escort him to the local pub as he was going on a 1st date and due to meet a girl there but didn't fancy standing alone until she arrived. (Free drink, how could I refuse). Park the soop out side the pub and strolled inside. 2 minutes later the girl turns up, walks over to us with a smiles and open arms says "WOW!! Ace car mate. Give us a ride in it pleeeeease" xxxxxx That relationship didn't last long.
Jive
Embarrassed myself in a petrol station once, stopped and waited for a mate to fill up his car and had a mate in mine. Mate goes in to pay, comes out and gets in car ... I go to start mine and all I get is .... click click click .. sh*t car wont start .. By this time my mate is driving down the road oblivious to what's going on and disappearing into the distance. I glance down and realise that I'd parked up and left the car in D and the car wouldn't start without being in Park ... oh how my mate ripped the crap outta me for that
Guest lfelton
I used to live in California & had just bought a Fiat Spider convertable (that was a cool looking car!) from a dealer; used but with new custom paint & wheels. So the first thing I did was take a mate out for a spin. Imagine me, feeling very cool in the sparkling new motor. Until one of the wheels fell off when I turned a corner. I can see the funny side now, but watching that wheel bounce along the road was a low point at the time. Some chimp had put on the new wheels & tyres with a compressed air ratchet set to "strip all the threads" mode. The damn thing was off the road for a month waiting for parts! For the 20 or so cars that I've bought since then, the first thing I do is check the wheels are on tight! Sad, but true.

Kopite
The girl i was on a date with never got in touch after that! Don't blame the car I bet it's because you tried to introduce her to your whips and chains on a first date
RobSheffield
I bet it's because you tried to introduce her to your whips and chains on a first date I told you Ro, i only use the chains on big boys like you that get out of control anyway, back onto topic
