LED Replacement Instructions

As requested by a number of people, I have now dug out the instructions for replacing the LEDs on the instrument panel.

 

I didn't write these instructions but I have done this myself, so if I can help anyone who decides to give it a try then I'm happy to - I'm not Mr. Technical though, so I may be no help at all!!

 

I have basically copied the document exactly and formatted it slightly - the original author's email is at the bottom still.

good instructions.

 

ive also done:-

 

backlighting of the ac buttons and dials

cig lighter

key surround

spoiler button led & backlighting

slip cont backlighting

turn lights

warning icons

the inside of my exhaust & dustcap cover on my wheels (only joking :) )

i dont at the moment, i aint got a digicam. ill be able to use the one at work when i return on friday, if yr really interested. its a high gloss silver dash with loads of blue lights on basically :) im still working on some custom blue EL speedo dials, so they r just white at the moment. ill post a pic on fri evening.

I'd really like blue lights in me cockpit too but it looks like a right old palava. How long does it take. Did you snap / knacker anything during the process?

 

Also what about the ODO? If that stays green it would look a bit sh*te no?

 

Finished work does look good though.
