Multics
Looks like a 350z/370z with a Toyota badge but I like it
ManwithSupra
Its nice to see toyota trying again. I was reading somewhere (honestly can't remember i think it was performace car magazine) that this is the first of a new range of "affordable performance" cars that Toyota are planning. I hope that they bring a worthy successor to the Supra out, perhaps a FJ-ZA80 that would be nice. Multics
Except nicer (IMO). Meh! The GTR looks meaner, while the 86 looks a bit hair dressery compared side to side. IMO. Still like the looks of it a lot
ManwithSupra
Except nicer (IMO). Agree with you without a doubt the FT86 is a nice looking sports, The GTR is a bit of a Pig, but then it has major presence on the road (more agressive), i would most certianly have a GTR if i were to spend £60k on a new car. Bobbeh
I think it looks alright, could be a a good drive too, especially the turbo one, nice to see Toyota doing some new RWD cars with more power than a lawnmower.
Guest SupraGTE
It is not a Celica and "not" a Toyota in Europe, it is going to be sold as Subaru in europe and Toyota in asia, The Ft-86 is a partnership between Toyota and Subaru and it is ment to be in a quiet affordable price range.... but lets see that when it hits the market,
tDR
Branding it Subaru over here would be very bad - just gonna have chav factor written all over it I'd buy one if it was branded a Toyota and had a Turbo...
Guest SupraGTE
Thats the last info i have , and i think that was the agreement with subaru at start of this concept about 2,5 years ago, so to have a Toyota of this one is to import one i had all spec and everything on this on our internal newssite but cant find it now , will try to get the info on friday when im at headoffice. Gaz6002
I have it on good information that it'll be called a Toyota, and I reckon the FT-86 will stick too. They won't brand it a Scooby in the UK, surely. Especially when they could add it to the G Sports range of Toyotas
