X-Factor

Purely to generate cash income for the show they realised that Irish will vote for anything Irish in the show, Scottish will vote for anything Scottish etc.etc.

I voted for Danyl bud. I, along with most of the UK public, vote for whoever they think is best. Who they think is best can be a little prejudice due to personality, ethnicity, place of being born etc.

I think year on year the OK singers have been weeded out from the best singers pretty fairly. The only shock for me was Leon Jackson beating Rhidian (I know the spelling is wrong). He was by far the better singer IMO but Leon just had a likeability factor as well as being the more modern and "popular" style singer. In the end it had bugger all to do with him being Scottish.

I don't think its down to the nationalities voting to be honest. Maybe a small percentage but that certainly won't choose who wins.

Edit:

Just looked at what you wrote properly and the "maths" that you based this on. You have divided England by 7 and Scotland by 1? So a country that is 10 times larger in population to another has the same amount of voters?

England - Approx 60 million

Scotland - Approx 6 million

Wales - Approx 3 million

N.Ireland - Approx 2 million (Actually around 1.7)

So England is 60/7 = 8.5 million votes per singer

Scotland is 6/1 = 6 million votes per singer

Wales is 3/1 = 3 million votes per singer

N.Ireland 2/2 = 1 million votes per singer

By your logic this means that England has the advantage bud. Surely what you said seems petty now?

Wasn't a petty comment....just a theory of how the votes come in.

The show is mainly there to generate cash through entertainment and now that they have re-formatted the show so that the results are a day later, meaning that the vote lines are open longer, is self evident of this fact.

It would be interesting to see the voting statistics for this show, but I can guarentee there is a LOT of nationality voting going on.....the whole reason behind why Louis chose those repulsive twins to be on the live shows.

I agree with everything you have just wrote bar the nationality voting. Most people who care to vote, vote for who they like. Its mostly girls that vote, thats why for a girl to win she has to be REALLY good or REALLY likeable (Leona & Alexandra). Guys normally win the X-Factor because of the girl vote.

If there were 2 singers, one from Scotland and one from England and they were both on a complete par as far as singing and looks go then yes, the Scottish voters would probably vote for the Scottish singer and vice versa. If one is standout better than the other then they will usually win. I say usually due to Leon winning, that was the girls vote again though.

Lol, just remembered old Stevie boy. Calling all the middle aged girly votes again, nothing to do with talent.

Every single show on the planet is created to make money. The more money a show makes the more successful it is.

its a typical case of how the public see the acts.

kandy raine were never gona go far as they mainly appeal to the males, and im betting the majority who vote are females and females would despise them as they are the sort of people girls look down on when infact they wished they looked like them. its a female thing i guess.

as for the twins? well everyone loves an underdog. just look at that frump in last seasons strictly come dancing (cant remember his name). the public control who stays and for entertainment value they vote for the idiots.

also the last acts are always the memorable ones. is it rigged for this to be? maybe. people tend to forget the first couple of acts especially if they are not anything special.

i hate the twins however i hope they go far as it will provide entertainment and turn the whole xfctor experience on its head.

After looking back at other shows and realising that it is purely to do with money rather than developing fresh and new talent in the UK you will see that nearly every show has had a Scottish, Welsh, Irish and English acts in the live voting shows.

Purely to generate cash income for the show they realised that Irish will vote for anything Irish in the show, Scottish will vote for anything Scottish etc.etc.

There are now 11 acts left....1 Irish, 1 Scottish, 2 Welsh and 7 English....so this means that the English voters will be divided by 7 and the Welsh by 2, but the 1 Irish and Scottish will get through due to nationality voting.

And they will continue to go through until the English votes balance them out....so probably until there are only about 4 English acts left.

The welsh girl and the south London girl are great....hope they get to the final 3.

Miss Frank have something fresh too.....so my prediction is hoping for these 3 to be in the final.

Told you :p
