Danni's comment..

all this PC bullsh*t in the media today really winds me up. im looking forward to the media hatred of dannii just like there has been for anton de beke for saying that leila looks like a paki after she had a spray tan.

an insult is an insult wether its about the way someone looks, acts or does. however i have a feeling that not much will come from dannii's comment.

What bull$#@!? What are they saying?

maybe im jumping the gun a bit here but im expecting very little to come from dannii's comment in comparison to anton de beke's comments to leila. imo what dannii said to danyl is just as bad if not worse than what anton said to layla. it went out live to millons just adding to the affect of it and she clearly said it with intent to offend.

unless the abuse on tv has anything to do with race or religion then nothing much gets said*

*unless people start complaining because others are. such as the brand and ross 'scandal' with sachs

What was abusive Matthew?

If the rumours are true that you are gay or bisexual then perhaps the change wasn't needed in the lyrics of the song?

I don't see how that is in any way anti gay? She has had a pop at him to push his buttons, nothing more nothing less.

It was completely tactless from a judge of the show but its not exactly abusive is it?

No wonder this country is fcuked with PC.

At the end of the day the show is 'supposed' to be a talent contest so a persons sexual preference shouldn't even be an issue so why remark about it?

I agree, its completley unprofessional. She has done nothing but harm to her reputation. Its typical storm in a teacup with the media though. Everyone jumping on the bandwagon, as usual.

Well if the wonderful :love: Danii :love: said it, I'm sure it must be true and needed saying :)

How could anything in the slightest bit mean come out of that wonderous mouth :D

Although if Cheryl wears her hair up, Danni moves into second place :eyebrows:

i myself dont find it abusive, im having a rant more than anything about how the media depict abusive language. if they can class anton de beke's comment to leila about her looking like a paki abusive, which again i dont see as abusive, then surely they should paint dannii in the same light about her comments to danyl.

both incidents imo are harmless. the only difference is that dannii's comment was intended to offend.

dannii's comment was intended to offend.

I'm not sure it was to be honest.... I think she said it initially as a bit of a 'dig' as there was a comment about how it was a woman's song being sung by a bloke...and also in the light that Danyl had made back stage comments on how he finds ALL the judges attractive.

IMO I think Dannii just wanted to let him know that such comments were not going to affect judges decisions.

I'm guessing if Danyl didn't act like he had already won the show in his performances then there wouldn't be any reason for the judges to 'perk up' as it were.

this is what i was getting at.

people will complain just because they feel they 'should' be offended by it.

Ahh i'm with you now :)

Having read what he had said about how he finds all the judges attractive both the women and simon; leading to his bi-sexual nature I dont see Danni's comments as being offensive at all.

He put himself in that situation by trying to arse kiss the judges; it backfired and Danni put him in his place.....whats wrong with that?

dont see what the fuss is about.

without knowing what danyl had done and said I guess Danni's comments can be misunderstood, in light of the situation however it seems perfectly appropriate....
