I have one of those Tassimo coffee makers and I'm running a bit short on coffee. Did a quick google to see who sold the items and this was one of the first links that came up....

Now, i know that they are giving 80 discs for that money but come on!!

Always fancied one of these coffee makers....don't think I'll bother now :lol:

Amazingly the Tassimo website is still the cheapest place to buy the coffee discs. They have the best selection too.

I just did a price breakdown for anyone that cares. This is basically how the cost works out for a PROPER cup, not the baby cups that they recommend. The size of cups range from 150ml to 300ml, so you would need three 150ml discs for 1 full cup etc.

Oh, this is only for the coffee's i am interested in BTW

150 = 3 discs required

200 = 2 discs required

250 = 1 discs required

Kenco Medium Roast 21p (1 per cup) (you could brim the cup using 2 at a cost of 42p per cup)

Kenco Pure Columbian 21p (1 per cup) (you could brim the cup using 2 at a cost of 42p per cup)

Carte Noire Petit Dejeuner 21p (1 per cup) (you could brim the cup using 2 at a cost of 42p per cup)

Carte Noire Moka 44p (2 per cup, 1 hot choc & 1 espresso) (2/3 of a cup)

Suchards Hot Chocolate 44p (2 per cup) (2/3 of a cup)

Carte Noire Crema Intenso 62p (3 per cup)

Carte Noire Columbian 62p (3 per cup)

Carte Noire Kenya 62p (3 per cup)

Carte Noire Corse 62p (3 per cup)

Carte Noir Cappuccino 88p (4 per cup, 2 milk & 2 espresso)

Kenco Cappuccino 88p (4 per cup, 2 milk & 2 espresso)

Milka £1 (4 per cup, 2 choc & 2 milk)

Its certainly not as cheap as they make out. IMO its a cracking cup of coffee though, the perfect mix between instant and proper coffee. I still MUCH prefer making a real cappuccino though, nothing beats a good espresso with frothed milk.

Yup, most of the pleasure with making a good coffee comes from the prep I find. Instant just doesn't capture the freshness and aroma of proper beans.

Ahh i've never got it that far. Would love to make proper coffee from beans but I don't have the kit for it. Closest i come is buying the pre-ground stuff and making it in the espresso maker.

Worst of it is if I did actually buy the kit, it would get used for a week or so and then I would get fed up with it taking so long. I know I would revert back to the tassimo as its so quick. Even the espresso maker gathers dust and is only used rarely at the weekends (when I have time). The tassimo isn't as bad as instant but its nowhere near as good as fresh.
