Any Project Bikers out there?

One or two of you may already know this but 3 years ago I bought a mint, very low mileage ZX12R A1 to develop as a project bike after throwing my Hayabusa down the road (I loved that bike too:() - My problem being that I have never really had time to blow my nose, never mind build a bike.

The bike runs circa 200bhp with current basic mods but my plan was to add a turbo:innocent:.

I have looked at the various options including the Garret T3/T4 Hybrid unit and the GT28 RB Tubby but I am now leaning towards the GT35R due to its higher end power capability.

Have any of you guys done this to a bike as I would be keen to compare your experiences.

Basic specs on pump fuel and @ the wheel:

T3/T4: 250BHP.

Gt28: Starts at 260 but can rise to 360 quite nicely.

GT35R from 300 to 550BHP

Sounds fun:cool:

Before i sold the gsxr1000 i was in talks with a company about fitting a gt28 to it, cant remember much about it now.

Yep, that's right Jamie and that was the company we were both looking at last year for our mods etc

Even the Gt28 sounds quite tasty and a few extra changes to the turbo kit should easily see 320 horses down below:cool:

I saw your Busa vid the other day so I wonder just how a ZX12R GT28 would fair aginst your Supra?

Ahh right :D, is this project looking likely now you've got your perfect Supe?

"A perfect Supe?" - Isn't that a bit like searching for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow Jay:search: Having a Turbo ZX12 can only compliment my garage though:D

I rode a 280bhp turbo ZX9r a few years back, beast of a machine but it was still very ridable, it didnt make full boost till about 9000rpm and was pretty much like a stock bike below them revs.

Those sound like pretty nice figures Jamie:cool:

470bhp on a bike! Truely awsome

There's a fully loaded Busa in ths States with 600+. Now that's fast from what I can recall (just a bit;)).
