michael
You have a "I" - it's near your right knee under the dash IIRC.

Nic
The 2JZGTE VVTi is OBDII, all non VVTi Supras are OBDI Edited October 9, 2009 by Nic (see edit history)
merckx
From what I remember there is more than one version of OBDII , not all fault code readers will work on the Supra.

Yup, and the OBDII on the supra is the odd one and not the usual one either. I've forgotten which protocol, but something like PWM1412 or the like, I'll dig it out later. Nic
The R-VIT will work on a VVTi TT, but there are limits to what information it can monitor.r-vit-type1.pdf
andyx187
can the port be changed or is there a third port or can i piggy back straight of ecu with a lead
Nic
I believe you can get OBDI to OBDII adapter cables, how much actual useful information you would get from the ECU and whether the R-Vit would understand it I don't know. carl0s
I thought it was the OBD-1 that was unusable with anything because there was no actual set standards on OBD-1, but that OBD-2 is OBD-2, no ?
jackso11
If you change the ECU to a new plug and play, mapable ECU....can you then have an OBDII port fitted? Just a thought, would be useful if you can because I can then plug into my car-PC
