DODGYDODDS
I fell off my chair when i saw this. Nominations closed 11 days into his precidency, What did he do in those 11 days that were so good. Or was it planned all along, to further project his messiaih image. all he has done is talk the talk, and done the exact opposite to what he said. His approval ratings are very low, and he is a true puppet. Talk about a political move to appeal to the sheeple,,, i mean people, and steer public opinion all it does is cheapen the whole prize imho

martini
It's an interesting one - winning the Nobel Peace Prize for "Not Being Bush", while continuing to plan your war in Afghanistan.

imi
Well, he's the messiah so recognition is long overdue......shortlisting him 2 weeks into the job just affirms the credentials required to win a Nobel Peace Prize. Cant believe Tony Blair didn't even get a mention......and he actually did do a lot..........wasn't most of his intention peace related too.... Guigsy
His approval ratings are very low are you talking about in general? politicaly? Have you been watching fox news again? Fox news once reported that unemployment in the usa was something like 147 million (or something like that) and if you work it out that about 150 million are of the correct age/able to work. It came out at 97% unemployment. hum... Obama's aproval ratings are far from low from what i know. But lets not get into a political argument. Especialy with american politics. There is so much bullshit slung about regarding that kind of thing it takes a long time to wade through the shit to get to the facts

Konrad
Last minute news! Denzel Washington, who will probably act in new biography (coming soon!) of president Barrack Obama, got Oscar for this role.
Mike
i have no great feelings either way... he isn't Bush.. and that's the main thing. If he gets them a health service, that will be a bonus.
