w41k3r
looks like some do make the 300bhp mark http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/10/07/car-feature-gt-gt-ysr-na-supra.aspx

Kirk
Impressive bit of kit quite like an itb setup on mine
jimojameso
Impressive but with a motor of that spec u could spend less dropping a turbo engine in so seems stupid really.
Wez
Interesting but am I missing something? In brief they have added 87mm pistons and port and polished built head with JUN 272 high lift cams and ITBs, how does that equal 300hp?

Seems like he has taken a leaf out of the vtec tuners handbook. But that 80hp woulda been mighty expensive, to extract.
Gaz6002
This YSR Supra proves just how well subtleness can work if executed correctly. Subtle! I wouldn't say subtle.
Scott
They wrote that the key to it all is the TB intake? Sounds like a Honda to me too. Will make 300bhp but with those cam's i'm guessing you would have the powerband of about 500rpm.
jevansio
I guess if Honda can get 240 from a 2.0l, it may be possible to get an aftermarket 300 from a 3.0l with an optimistic dyno (on a good day with a tail wind)
Digsy
305BHP at 7500rpm is 11.9bar BMEP - well within the capabilities of a fairly normal NA engine if everything is set up right and the thing can breathe. But as has been mentioned already, it will have been optimised for that figure alone. You normally hit that kind of BMEP at peak torque speed, not peak power. It will probably feel relatively dead for a lot of the real, usable driving range. Look how short those intake runners are! No good for low / mid range at all. I'd love to see its torque curve. I bet it looks like a ski slope
j_jza80
Nice to see a change from the usual turbo builds. Some very nice touches on that car, especially those TRD wheels
Ali C
loving that, if only it was affordable

I bet it looks like a ski slope the close ratio'd later 6 speed NA's has a low rev drop per gear so may allow constant access to the power band which I spose is all you really need.........I'd love to have a go in that
