Scott
Now that is impressive. Not just off the lights, 12.8 quarter would see off most BPU drivers. Still don't like BMW though.

Miguel
Expect to see the same engine dropped into the next gen M5. It's a shame from the purist point of view that M Divison have dropped the purely N/A approach. It will however be fun to see an M5 with the boost wound up hammering it's nuts of down the road. johnny g
Police up here have a few X5's, but they're standard SE Diesels. The Motorway police might get the M's
Scott
Funnily enough its the drugs coppers i have seen with the X5's. Irony at its best.
Gaz6002
Well they did have to raise their game. The new Range Rover and the Porsche Cayman both piss all over the X6, and the current X5s.

In a straight line yes, but the Range rover would be well off the pace in the corners. That new X5M looks very impressive. Shame most will be drived through the congested city streets of London
Gaz6002
In a straight line yes, but the Range rover would be well off the pace in the corners. You might be surprised with the new one. Still, it's not all about power and handling with these cars. Build quality, decent parts and driving position factor quite heavily. Besides, in its natural habitat (off road) the RR will run away with any prize you want to offer.

True, The RR is still the top of its game off road. I was very surprised by how composed the X5M looked on the slalom though. I can't see these things being truly competent until they sort the fuel economy out though.
merckx
Impressive performance but I don't like the look of it, the big holes in the front apron spoil the front.
