ManwithSupra
I am pretty happy to say the least, but have only just got around to posting this on the forum, as some of you know I have had two previous 5 hour operations to remove something called cholestatoma from my left ear behind the ear drum (operation is called combined approach type 2 left stage 1,2,3 tympanoplasty) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=154647&highlight=operation I went in to hospital last Monday to have my stage 3 operation (which also lasted 5 hours) and after waking up the next morning to be faced with the surgeon with a smile on his face saying "you won’t be needing anymore operations for your ear, we are happy to say that it had not come back and we have replaced two of your ear bones with prosthetic ones and we are confident that you will get at least 70% of your hearing back" Needless to say although still in a bit of pain at home (been signed off for two weeks) I am ecstatic about my hearing as I have always had only about 30% of hearing in my ear since this problem, I have to go back in to hospital on the 14th to get my ear pack taken out and have a hearing test, and I can’t wait.... now I can get back on track and get on with things MSA licence here I come
