Suprash
Hi guys, How the fuck are you all, good I hope. I will get to post a bit more on here soon, promise - miss you all......like the plague lol.......only messing. Right anyway been forced to post on here as my baby is getting bad hesitation, now this only happens on the motorway usually after 15mins or so. I can be sat there trundling along at 80, go to give her a little squeeze or even plant the right foot, and boost gauge reads more boost, but she gets really hesitant for a few seconds, like a good couple of seconds, then its normal service resumed and we're getting the power I requested 200 yards behind me........ So you lovelly knowledgable peeps, whats your verdict, spark ?? Fueling ??? Why does it only seem to happen on the motorway, is it heat related....??? ardasaliah
HAd a similar problem. Turned out to be plugs. Mine use to happen at motorway speeds when the boost was readings were higher. (higher gear)
neilg
mine did it at full boost in high gears, changed the plugs and it hasnt done it since
Ian C
Was it happening more around 4000rpm than the upper rev ranges? -Ian
jase_93tt
changing to a colder grade plug will help, especially if you are running more than stock boost pressure. Ive recently upped the power on my supe and can definately notice a slight hesitation around 4000rpm (when no. 2 tubby kicks in). Thing is, in my auto, it feels like the gearbox is going to drop out and hit the floor when the hesitation happens. J
supra steveo
you might find that its your front bumper mate, if i were you id swap it for my standard one that might sort the problem out
Suprash
Well its probably more around the 3k rev range as thats what 80mph sits at, but Im not thinking plugs, have been told it might be a lazy pump, so am going to do the 12v pump mod. Suprastevo, yeah mate, that sounds like a plan, pop round mine and we'll swap, lol.... I had a funny feeling it was the bumper....... EDIT: and also already have IK24's or whatever, grade colder then standard.
terribleturner
Just wanna bring this up again. Mine is doing the same. Im running IK27's, so should i just go with the same or something different?? I was thinking of 24's but not sure if they have to be colder. The plugs have been there for just over a year so it's about time to replace them. Suprash
James, put some 24's in and you should be ok mate. Although mine still is still doing it now and then after new plugs, but not as much as before. But Im still struggling to figure it out....... Ian C
Could it be overfuelling...?
terribleturner
Cheers Ash. TBH i think mine has cleared up now. If it's dry tonight may have a blast on the way home. I'm pretty sure the tank as 3/4 full or there about's when it last happened. I am though having my revs bounce up and down in top gear at around 100. Im thinking this may be the fuel filter and willtry and change it next week.

What boost do you run at? Do you get any detonation? Maybe to do with the recent hot weather, the intake temperature being high? Have you tried using lower boost - does the same thing happen? Suprash
Ian might be onto something, with the fueling, mine looks like its heavily over fueled at times. When I had some 22's I think they were, when they was taken out they showed signs of detonation, but thats cause the plugs werent up to the job. It has to be either their not gapped right, or fueling, Im sure of it.........current 24's were taken out a few days after being put in and they looked good. supRo
Do the Coil pack/connectors look ok? Sometimes they become brittle
