Hmmm... not something I would advise but if it works for you then fair play.

Apart from complex carbs in the morning, I dont have any more until my peri-workout where apart from my pre-workout meal, these will be more simple carbs than complex.

Also, no carbs before bed. Just good fats. Cottage cheese is my normal choice.

Oooooft really dude?? Try changing it, you might be surprised. dont think i could function on so little carbs. My workouts would be terrible.

love cottage cheese, But im onto Quark just now. With some powdered jelly crystals mixed in. Fridge for 10mins lovley. :D

so much information such little time

lol - well I am assume most of us weight lifters arguing do it to near competition or cover model level physique. I don't think this stuff applies to the average person.

:yeahthat:

Although I'll throw another topic in now, and that's I would never want to look like a bodybuilder! eew! :D

In proportion, toned and healthy :)

I have approx 75% of my carb allowance around my workout so always have enough energy for my workout.

It's different when I am bulking though as I tend to have carbs with every meal apart from my very last one.

Id actually like to see the results of before and afters for the people who i have helped. Its a good Motivation to others. :D

in regard to the protein and carb discussion,i may be wrong, but doesnt the body require carbs to aid the absorption of protein?

You shouldn't cut out carbs altogether or you will have some real issues!

I've just started on a new regime, including gym and diet.

If people are interested I can post up results in a few weeks/months.

I must say, I am not going to be wearing a bikini though Matt ;)

Right well i got my new diet it doesn't seem too bad to follow and on saturdays i can mainly eat what i want so its great :). I had my gym induction before my god i felt like an eejit i didn't know how to use any of the weight machines and they were showing me and i had all of them on the lowest level :). They will give me a programme next week and i follow it, it tells me how long i stay on the mahcines and how many sets to do etc.

Good start claire.

What we need now is a 'super size vs super skinny' before pic, to be followed by the healthy after pic.

Bridget Jones underwear to start, side profile, then in a few months, get the spray tan on and do it again in something flattering :)
