Chris Wilson
Not being well travelled I have not had a need to draw Euros in cash before. I need to pay some Hungarian in Euros this week, in cash, for some engine bits. Can I just waltz into my local Barclays and get them, or do they need ordering, or what? About 4500 Euros I think I need to draw. Thanks.
Abz
For that amount I think you would generally need to call in first Chris. I believe Post Offices & Thomas Cook generally get you the best rates (understand your withdrawing).
supra dan
for that much you may need to order them. you can get from a bank but you will not get the best rate. i get mine from the cheque shop, best rates if there is one near you

Chris Wilson
Thanks, I am out in the sticks, seems best to draw cash at the bank and change for Euros at the PO. Thanks for the advice!
pedrosixfour
Best way I found to get money of any currency from a bank was a remington double barrel.
