Matt H
Bizzare turn of events. Can't get my head round this one.
Guest elitecustombody
I took it down on SF because the people of SF are jerkoffs. But I didn't take it down from here, however, because the UK crowd seems a bit more civilized. Yes the car is for sale. If it sells then good, and if it doesn't, I'll pack it away for a while. I can promise that no one will see the car for a decade. Eric Eric, have you given any thought how fair this tantrum would be to me? Am I a jerkoff, monkey, basher, ass kisser ? When I was building that car,I put my heart and soul into it,not only just because I love Supras and I'm a nice guy,but because I was hoping to get some exposure to my shop and get some recognition. Did I get anything extra for shaving 130 holes in engine bay? shaving squirter, wiper, antenna, side markers, chopping and modifying front bumper, side skirts, fender flares to fit the wheels that were sticking 7 inches out of the fenders and were not even discussed in our original deal, stripping the car to a shell and do a $10k paint job?Blocking and polishing every square inch of the body to make sure the paint is as flawless as it can be, when all it was supposed to be is a 1.5 inch widened quarters and a quick respray. 2 years you've been pushing me to get the car done and yet after well over a year after the car was done,it has never once been to any shows or meets, not even local Orlando area meets or shows and you put only 300miles ,I haven't got even one refferal. Is that fair ,when you know how much time I have invested in it? Can you tell me what did I get for doing all this work? And be honest. Mods,if I am being out of line, please let me know, it seems that most threads that have anything to do with cowboy's car magically vanish Stefan aka "exvelocity" on SF Edited November 3, 2009 by elitecustombody (see edit history)
Guigsy
1) tbh. you should discuss that in private not here. 2) the mods will probably take offence to your username as promoting your own company...
Guest elitecustombody
I'm not in UK,but US,so I seriously doubt anyone would consider my post or my screen name as promoting my company.BTW,I use that screen name on many different boards without any issues I was registered here under "exvelocity" few years ago,but do not remeber my password
Kirk
i remember you mate... infact i followed the entire build of erics car. The bodywork was top notch.. you did a fantastic job on the car and it is such a shame its not been showed off as it should of been! It is a bit unfair your have had no recognition for the work done though Edited October 25, 2009 by Kirk (see edit history)
Gaz6002
Did you do the work under the pretense that you'd be getting referrals and 'recognition'? Was that written down?
Jamesy W
No offence, but why didn't you raise some of these questions before you started rubbing the thing down?
Guest elitecustombody
Did you do the work under the pretense that you'd be getting referrals and 'recognition'? Was that written down? From all the talk from Eric,it was supposed to be his showcase to help market his V-8TT swap for MKIV,taken to shows,Supra meets, which doesn't appear has happened even once. I'm old-school,but I guess a handshake means nothing these days,no, there was no paperwork ,other than the bill of sale and title to the car. Incase nobody knows, it actually was my car till mid summer of '08 Edited October 25, 2009 by elitecustombody (see edit history)
DODGYDODDS
Well from folowing the build and seeing the finished bodywork i can see you are a true craftsman, those fenders alone must of taken you an age to complete. Just a shame you are not getting out of it, what you had dealed or anticipated.

fuindustries
As a rejoinder, I would suggest people read the responses on the US Supraforums to Eric's move to delete all his threads there, specifically starting here. As a disclosure, I am not a dis-interested party. Chris

MarkR
To be fair to Eric i'd suggest we don't start slagging him off on this forum. We've had no issues with him and have enjoyed his build thread from start to finish. The Internet is free to search to anyone, so if they want to read the catty comments i'm sure they can find it without ruining our good club spirit. cowboy bebop
Effected how? If we're honest I had to stop pushing my car for power because we were hit hard by the recession. It's not something that go blabbing on SF. Things are looking little better now so I would like to continue on. Eric

JustGav
Quite an intersting read that I thought that. So one of the main 'supposed' issues was the porting, the other was a high compression. Any basis to these?
