Ricky49
I have been admitted in to hospital in Worthing this morning. Iv been having pain in my back for a couple of months now and never really thought anything of it. Well last night I went to bed with a slight pain in the right side of my back about halfway up. At 12.00am I woke up struggling to breathe, with a tight chest and my back was in agony everytime I breathed. I woke the wife up and she took one look at the colour of me and phoned for an ambulance. Well I have been here since 12.30am had 3 xrays, a CT scan and 4 blood samples from different limbs. There is a lot of interest in me from doctors and consultants poking and proding and I'm hooked up to all sorts of machines. At the moment they have found an abnormallity in my right lung which they say could be a blood clot. I have been injected 3 times in the stomach with medication to treat the clot but it's so painfull be injected in the abdomen. The most annoying thing is I have missed the Japshow Finale. At least I can see the posts and pics when you guys post them up.

stevie_b
Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. I remember when I fell ill with an unusual illness* that earned me a few days' stay in the isolation ward in Crawley hospital. Visitors had to walk along a corridor and speak to me via an intercom. It was all very Silence of the Lambs! * did you make a full recovery too, Ed?
RedM
Shouldn't your phone be turned off in hospital? Anyway, all the best to you especially as you're in Worthing hospital. I know it all too well.

Ricky49
No I'm allowed got my own private room. I did ask the nurse she said they just say that so all the visitors don't shout to be heard if on the phone but if your a patient on the ward it's ok within reason.
