supra steveo Posted October 4, 2009 Share Posted October 4, 2009 ive got no no sound on my laptop , ive recently been using my lap top on my TV screen via HDMI cable and now the sound has stopped coming out of the speakers fitted to the laptop ive made sure every thing is turned up too have i missed something ? am probably just being thick Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wkdtime Posted October 4, 2009 Share Posted October 4, 2009 The drirver may have gone tits up, go to your device manager, locate the audio device/drive, right click and choose uninstall, if you are asked if you want to delete the associated driver then choose no at this stage. Once the driver is uninstalled, select your machine name (which is at the top of the list in device manager) then select 'Scan for hardware changes', at this stage it should recognise the audio device and the proceed to install the driver.
