tooquicktostop
come on then Dean how do you deep fry ice cream?? You ball the ice cream and put back in the freezer until rock hard Mix a couple of eggs, tablespoon of vanilla sugar and a tablespoon of flour to form a light batter roll the icecream in the batter then roll the icecream in nibbed almonds re-freeze, you can repeat this process for an extra thick coating fry in very hot oil (190oC) for 20-30 seconds Serve with butterscotch or hot choc/fudge sauce

Charlotte
I had deep fried ice-cream when I went to Portmeirion in January. I didn't like it. Yuk.
Snooze
Really? I though it was quite quaint and colourful. A bit too touristy and a lot smaller than I had imagined, but I wouldn't say I didn't like it!

Definitely not touristy when you stay overnight and have the run of the village to yourself.

Snooze
I LOVE Portmeirion. Definitely not touristy when you stay overnight and have the run of the village to yourself. Okay - now that does sound good. I'd be worried about being chased down by giant white balloons, tho!
