marbleapple
NOW SOLD. THANKS FOR THE INTEREST For sale is a Mark 4 Toyota Supra, 5 speed manual 3 litre 24v Non Turbo. Engine wise, as you would expect with the N/A’s she is bullet proof and runs like a dream. The car passed its MOT less than 2 months ago on first attempt and I fitted 4 new Bridgestone Pontenza tyres at a cost in excess of £500. She has gone approximately 145,000KM. The majority of these miles were before I owned her as she only goes out at weekends and even then only for short local journeys. Taxed until December and MOT until end of June 2010. Respray in Audi Misano red “Heckler” red LED dash light conversion Sprayed metallic black dash Pioneer Radio Pioneer speakers (all 4 quarters) Aftermarket gear knob and wheel and gaiters. Glass headlights Clear side reapers Black carpet Do Luck front, Veilside spats, skirts. Works Alloys Lowered Sparks, oil, brake pads, air filter etc all changed since I purchased her. All cars have bad bits including this one. She will need a thrust bearing replacing soon (quoted £300 from a non Toyota specialist garage, which was mainly labour charge) and the tail wing is bubbling and could do with a respray (I would recommend Supraloopy to fix this). Price wise I am looking for £4000. I will consider offers but nothing daft please (i.e. if you wouldn't acept it in my position the likelyhood is that I won't!) Genuine reason for sale – I can’t drive my everyday car due to a recent back injury so I am considering selling both of my cars to afford a new more expensive everyday car. P.s. - I'm Leeds based. marbleapple
Good luck with the sale Ric, it has come a long way!! Cheers mate. It has come a long way and i'm quite proud of it. If it wasn't for my back I'd be dropping a TT into it instead of selling it. Dave you are thinking of selling up too? Back not getting better? It's at £2800 on eBay with six days to go. Who'd bid without coming to see it I'll never know.

SUPRALOOPY
sorry if im being stupid but what is a thrust bearing? If he talking about the clutch, Its the bearing that takes the load when applying the clutch.
marbleapple
sorry if im being stupid but what is a thrust bearing? Sorry its the bearings that release/unrelease the clutch. Think I might be using an old term. It doesn't make any difference to the drive but simply give sa low whine in idle which vanishes when you push the clutch down or put the car in gear. If he talking about the clutch, Its the bearing that takes the load when applying the clutch. Yep. Still in shock at the suggestion you are going to scrap your car...... Bought a New Civic Type R Sat Nav GT this afternoon so would like to send my lovely car to a new home.
