hadyn
I installed an ebay rear strut brace today following some instructions I found on mkiv.com Heres the finished result When I took off the plastic trim and the carpet I found these things on top of the struts: The guide in mkiv.com said that they were just sound deadening thingies - is that true? I hope so, as I wouldnt fancy my rear shocks dropping out!! lol
Jake
I dunno about them being sound deadening but you can certainly remove them safely without upsetting the suspension at all. Take one off and you'll see what I mean. (Edit: Oops, Just realised you already have) I'm not sure you'll notice any benefit from a reat strut brace, to be honest, but that's not your question.
