SupraD06
Hi mate, you just need new boot rubbers, quite a common problem and i had it myself. If you open your boot you will see that there is a rubber block either side of your boot lid, and one either side on the car itself where the boot shuts. These can perish over time and stop making a tight fit when the boot is closed, so there is abit of play and thats whats making the noise. You can get them from Toyota or a few traders on here. Hope that helps mate : Goes off to find Traders

SupraD06
Yes mate you can do it yourself, some people have said that they found the screws on the old ones to be quite tight, but mine came out no problem, 10 minute job to swap them over. Nic
Make sure you get new screws with them, as you may find the old ones difficult to remove.
SupraD06
Also, its best if you post your question up in the ' Supra Chat ' area, as more people will see it
Zofix
is it only the 2 lower you swap or all 4? and what is the part number for the screws?
SupraD06
You can order just the upper or lower 2, but you may aswell swap all 4 while your doing the job, screws come with the ones i had from Nic, and the ones from Whifbitz will aswell. Chiefgroover
If that doesnt do it, check the bumper holding plastic screws underneath the rear lights. If the joint gets too dry or worn it can give you a very bad rattle, to me forever to find this one. Answer was new plastic screws and greased the two mating faces. foggy147
do u mean the ones under the car at the back or in the boot?
SupraD06
Take the rear lights out and there are screws for the rear bumper underneath. A quick way to check is to get someone to sit in the back of your car and when it rattles get them to push up on the glass of the boot, if it stops you know its the rubbers. If not then try the other option
