adnanshah247
Finances Finances and more foooookin Finances! After so long i have my supra done and ready, enjoying single power but my finances went a little out of hand. Currently in around £4000 debt and with little income i cant even counter it. Trying to work from all sorts of angles to try avoid selling the Supra but its looking grim for me. Just 2-3 months ago i was ok but life has taken a lot of U turns on me. lost my laptop, lost some money etc. not good! Cant wait for this shiiiiiit year to come to an end and somebody sends some luck and prayers my way. I have come to know one thing though, when people around me are in a situation i always help them as much as i can and make them pull through, however, now its my turn these same people turn their backs on me, its so sad its unreal, i had an open heart for these people and this is how they show their appreciation. Teaches me a lesson right? Any ways, was feeling really run down, stressed and despressed, havent been on the forum much lately so thought id come here and cheer myself up a little and maybe gather some good advice. thanks guys[sAD][/sAD] :( :( :(
SteveR
Sorry to hear this mate. Do you relly think you'll have to sell it or can you just not drive it for a bit to cut down on your outgoings?
adnanshah247
i havent been driving much at all, the cars not costing me its just that im 4k down and the car is the only thing that has money in it for me.
ClaireRZ-S
There must be someway you can get the money . Talk to the bank , talk to a family member or something and see if you can get a loan.
The Raven
There must be someway you can get the money . Talk to the bank , talk to a family member or something and see if you can get a loan. Borrowing money from the bank to keep a car isnt the way forward. I had to sell my car (twice now) to fund other projects, do what you have to then come back when things are better. Jamesy W
Sorry bud, crappy situation but it is only a car. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but it's not the end of the world. At least you aren't burying your head in the sand.
adnanshah247
to me my sup is more than just a car, i was 21 when i bought it, i saved up since i was 16, im 23 now and i have a lethal road single setup. everyone my age in my area and from school havent progressed further than a corsa and fiesta because none of them even put half as much effort in as me. i pushed and pushed myself and captured a big dream of mine which i dont want to let go of just over 4k. sounds pathetic but buying this car and getting it up to what i wanted was a huge milestone for me in my life. If you can push to build the car, why not push and work out a way to solve the debt, even if it means taking up a 2nd job... The end result after the hard slog would be worth it. Lbm
Don't think I can help you directly Adnan, so instead I'll award you a sandwich -It's a tasty one and it'll help perk you up, for about 10 seconds anyway. No doubt your magnificent brain power and potential Uni degree will lead you to some kind of job and then you're back in the game. note to self...never type back in the game again - it just looks bad. Anyway chin up, keep the faith, every cloud... are my free cliches for you to enjoy tonight. This was a motivational message brought to you by the man with the fruit based wig There's always torching it for the insurance. Joke. DSK
Final year of uni is hard. I can see what you mean about the Supra being your life. I would consider cutting back any other outgoings that you can do without, July (end of Uni) will rolla round far gaster than you think. Best of luck acquiring a degree. Consider where you will be around August/September job wise after uni and also consider looking for part time jobs.
DanBEXsupra
Try your hardest and you will succeed at whatever it is your trying to do! i got made redundant from a job, that was a dead end job recently. ive been looking for jobs for nearly 2 years, and the one i was hits me in the face the day i get made redundant. I cant believe it. but ive done everything i can to get to the stage im at now. they guy wanted someone with experience, but my enthusiasm and willingness to learn has convinced him i think to employ me, ive got a tester day tommorow. Ive gotto remove a head gasket from a mark 1 punto and replace. im s***ting it and researching it all on the net at the mo, maybe this is my lucky break and a career. i just hope i can impress! Im in 5k debt. also supra related, and im going to have to sell it if i cant get a job before the end of this month, it would break my heart, even if it is a futile NA
imi
If youre 4K out of pocket then surely clearing that would take priority, if the Sup is the only means of clearing that then so be it. After all, its a car and can be replaced at a later date.

I'm sorry Adnan but sorting your finances must take priority. At 23 I had a mortgage and the CSA chasing after me.... Sounds like you are living 10 years beyond your means. I could only dream of affording a single Supe at your age. I am 35 in a couple of weeks and although I have money and a house I still cannot be irresponsible enough to buy a tt or single whilst I have no or little income..!! Once I get another job I will go car shopping but you must have the cash to spend it, being in debt is something I have avoided like the plague, I suggest you do the same..... Good luck..!! H. Hobgoblin
I am in the process of moving house, so made the big choice of selling my (and the wifes) beloved RX8 a few months ago. Its not so bad though, once we have completed our move I hope to be able to find some readies for a proper toy again. In the meantime its my stealthy £1500 Mitsi Legnum. Keep yer chin up, I am sure positive efforts are rewarded in time.

adnanshah247
thank so much guys, i feel better now. after all i know how much i have done at my age, how many sleepless nights and broken fingers working my butt off. hopefully the next 2 months will bring change but getting my head straight and studying hard is my main priority. ill see how it goes, if i cant manage the sup will go but i will work hard and push to see that day never ever comes. again thanks for the motivational comments, i really needed it. loads of love, respect and wishes for the mkivsupra.net family!
