Animal
people whos distant generations had nothing to do with what our families fought for many years ago.. What? You mean the ones we were fighting and enslaving to broaden our empire?
Lbm
Sorry but its getting to a point where its a shame to be british. Getting walked all over by people whos distant generations had nothing to do with what our families fought for many years ago. We should of closed our doors and said go home before there was any need to give compensation for turbans, need to have equality rules and religious exemptions, and even where i come from in yeovil a polish supermarket with english not welcome on the window!!! And i swear thats the truth. They come here and tell us how to run our country... Do you have a flag?
Benyon
Its like that guy who sued tesco, He sued them because he was carrying boxes alcohol from a lorry to the stock warehouse. Heres a link I know its the daily mail:rolleyes: but its the first link I found on google and it is a true story. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1063590/Devout-Muslim-sues-Tesco-making-carry-alcohol.html

Havard
So every times theres a riot its 10k in the pocket for removing his turbin? This place is gettin worse. Five or six riots a year and hes in for early retirement!!! We could make a bob or two here. We need a group of 12 or more for it to be classed as a riot, up until that point it's just affray.... If we get him out every time we kick off and get a cut of his compo then we are all laughing?? Its not racist its common sence! Its in the job description if you dont like it dont sign up. Hook, line? H.

supramkivcork
What makes me laugh about all this is if we (western europeans) were to live in any of their homelands we would have to abide by their rules.

jon5698
Just before i left the army i seen a Sikh who was also in the army, he had his cap badge attached to his turban. I always thought what would happen if he went to war? he can't exactly fit his helmet over it can he?
RedM
What's yours? I believe he lives in Ireland. Think of it as a bit like England but 100 years ago. HTH.

Jake
Just before i left the army i seen a Sikh who was also in the army, he had his cap badge attached to his turban. I always thought what would happen if he went to war? he can't exactly fit his helmet over it can he?Perhaps he would refuse to go and then sue the Army because it's against his religeon to kill people. The police are the worst for swinging the lead though. Some of things they have extended sick periods off work for are amazing.
supramkivcork
I believe he lives in Ireland. Think of it as a bit like England but 100 years ago. HTH. Yes I live in Ireland . Your probably not too far off Rorschach with the 100 years quote either.
Shadow Beast
What they should of done is just said "fair enough keep your turban on" then thrown the biggest sodding brick at him and see if the cloth protected him then. After all it would of been his call not to remove it. Then when he ends up in hospital tell him it serves him right for not wearing a riot helmet. That would be a lesson then to all others who refuse to remove them. Richie

L33
I agree to the above statements. When we go abroad we have to stick by there rules and most of the time there even harder on us because were english and in there country! So why is it not like it here. As for the comment about indian food, thats stupid. You can get english food abroad, dont mean we go there and set our own rules and for the record i hate indian food! jazz1
I can see your point here, they can be replaced my a bandana and covered with a helmet. I guess the police should tell them to wear a bandana instead of a turban during work hours
