SupraStar 3000
Just had a new fan belt and timing belt fitted by Toyota and although everything seemed ok at first the belt has started to squeak. Should the belt or wheels have some kind of lubricant on, or is the sign of a badly fitted replacement. Or maybe its just new and needs running in (I hope so)

Steve
Yeah as above, just sounds like it needs tightening a bit! But if you paid Toyota for it take it back and them
SupraStar 3000
I'll give Toyota a call on Tuesday. I thought WD40 could rote the rubber belts? I maybe wrong tho
absz
take it back to them mate, don't use any wd40 or any lubricates on the belt as that will make it worse. the belt has a self tensioner to retain tension.
SupraStar 3000
Cheers guys, will take it to Toyota Toyota are a waste of time. Last time I use them Doubt they could replace a bloody Christmas tree air freshener without making another problem.
