hi all

I'm having the annual agreed value debate with Sky,

TRD wide arch fitted facelift TT supra with very low 40K miles on the clock, 3K work meister wide alloys, lots of nice stuff on it

had it agreed at 13K last year as per

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=164976&highlight=TRD+wide

(with pics)

over past year shes been garaged and has done less than 1000 miles, had new greddy FMIC, new fluidyne alloy rad, full A and B service etc. this car gets treated better than my other half!

...and sky want to value it at 10K this year, which i think is a bit low!

does anyone have any links for TRD supras sold recently so i can show sky this thread and get them to re-do their sums please?

13k everyday of the week.

I would be after 10k minimum for mine ffs and mine aint got a kit like that or wheels like them.

i agree, I was surprised they questioned the £13K as i already thought it was low,

but i need examples if possible, or views of like minded enthusiasts (thats you guys!!!) so please post oppinions,

Mine is agreed value with Sky for £12,000, my cars a 94 uk spec and done 130,000 miles now, its a falling market so i guess they will lower mine come the end of this current years insurance.

Try another company is possibly the best idea, Livingstones do agreed value and seem to know what there talking about when i called them.

I chose to stick with Sky this year but if my cover changes or cost goes up then i'll be calling them to see what they can do.

Sky have never done me any favours and I feel they are really high priced for what they offer. I don't have an agreed Value but I insure my supra for £270 pa fully comp.. BPU spec.

I used to be with a company called HIC.. again they underwrite but they gave me a good valuation on a previous car, no hassle and a good premium price. Give them a call.. I had that car nicked.. it was a 10 year old escort, modded body and audio, they paid out £5500 for it.... book price for escorts then was £595.00 ..... it was nice but nothing like a supra..!!!

Sky gave me a price that no-one else could come close to, with a VERY pleasing agreed value. I'm very happy with them right now.

£270 fully comp for a BPU Supra is cheap

I have driving benefits and qualifications that may help.... but its with Admiral and part of my multicar policy.. however each car has its own premium hence I can identify the supra's one... Never had any issues with Admiral and Sky quoted me over £1100 for the Supra.. hence I said no way!... I was only suggesting an alternative, not knocking Sky... for those that have got a good deal..... great..

And I will change my insurance when its due for an Agreed Value as I nowe have one off carbon bodykit and will be having custom paintwork very soon...... but until then.. happy with my £270. ... well £276 and a few pence.....

Sky have come back to me and agreed a valuation of £13K same as last year so good news!

Many thanks to everyone that took the time to write positive comments or provide information, this thread was integral in getting Sky to agree a fair value.

 nice work, that's a good price.

Could be worse, in Ireland we have no such thing as agreed value. We just get open market value even though its a genuine TRD

At this point if I wrote my car off I would be lucky to get 1500 euro, current Open Market value for a 93 Supra TT according to Irish Road authority

My insurance is 1000 GBP a year, not called rip off Ireland for nothing

Even though the same companies are in the UK and here, if I ask them about agrred value they look at me like I have two heads but in the UK for some reason it is a normal request

Continuity is a bitch
