New Blackberry trouble

A question for the Blackberry experts..

Can you reprogram the convenience keys to do absolutely whatever you want? I want one of the keys to go to the next track on the media player as the only way to do that normally is to unlock the phone, dig in to the media player and then do it. I can set it to bring up the media player but not simply go to the next track.

You can apparently, I've not tried on mine yet... Give me 5 mins and I'll see what I can do on the 8900 I've got.

EDIT : Ahhh, wait, I get what you mean... not sure on that. Have you checked the crackberry site?

I trawled all through the crackberry site, didnt find it. I also wanted to change the button on the headset that pauses the music so it changes track but cant find that either.

I did find some good game downloads though, I now have pacman on my Pearl.

Another good app I've discovered is QuickPull. It simulates a battery removal reset, the best part of it is that you can schedule it. I've got mine rebooting at 3am every morning, helps avoid memory leaks and potential problems with software running long term.

DriveSafe.ly is cute if you are in the car a lot.

Mediakeys

* To play the next song in a category, press N.

* To play the next song in a playlist, press and hold the Volume Up key.

* To play the previous song in a playlist, press and hold the Volume Down key.

* To turn on the audio boost feature to amplify the volume for songs, ring tones, and videos, press the Volume Up key until you reach the highest volume setting, and then press the Volume Up key four times quickly.

* To pan up in a picture, press 2.

* To pan down in a picture, press 8.

* To pan right in a picture, press 6.

* To pan left in a picture, press 4.

* To return to the center of a picture, press 5.

* To zoom in to a picture, press 3. To zoom to the original picture size, press 7.

* To zoom out from a picture, press 9. To zoom to the original picture size, press 7.

* To rotate a picture, press L.

* To fit a picture to the screen size, press 1.

Whether you can map the conv. key to n and p, I reckon might require some of mini-app though :(
