Rob
Yes, I had that once, had to have 2 days off work 'cos I couldn't actually walk anywhere, it was that excruciating. Painkillers and rest was all I could do.

Painkillers and rest was all I could do. I was afraid of that. I have googled it but was hoping to have a few pointers from people that have actually had it. tbourner
I get pain like that sometimes, should I get the missus walking the dog in the morning instead of me?
Chewie
Your either wearing crappy shoes or been doing serious mileage or very overweight. I had it a few years ago on my right foot after doing a load of 10Ks, half and full marathons in a year. Stopped running for 4 mths and just cycled. Eventually I was whizzing around at 22 mph average :-). Get some orthotics made up to support the arch of the offending foot and get loads of rest. AndyT
Let me google that for you! Very clever. Fancy letting us challenged people know how to do that? Oops. Sorry off topic spank for me.

I've just had orthotics made and that has eased the pain a bit. I'm not overweight and but do a lot of walking (2miles a day) in my suit shoes for work which have no cushioning. The orthotics don't fit in these though which is annoying.
