Hey guys,

im running a jspec tt non bpu at and want to do the e-ttc.

Read alot last few weeks and i should normally know everything now ;) Only problem is: I´ve fitted no BCC. Means, if the boost spikes from the ttc are over 1 Bar it cuts me off.

Any experienced this problem or could help me out?

(I dont want to fit an bcc cause in a few month i´ll buy a new single sup)

greets

carsten

Just heard of a friend of mine:

Stock ECU, Stock everything euSpec 1,6 Bar Spikes...

Bit scared of trying that on a jspec

Easy to control the boost with your right foot, if you don't have an FCD fitted the worst you will do is hit fuel cut.

Im so dumb.... Yeah you´re right.

So spikes will force my fuelcut to be activated? (not that they are too short, so that the fuel cut wount "recognize" them)

And control spikes with my food... Hm yeah thats right. But sometimes you just want to go full throttle ;)

The stock ECU will cut fuel if it sees above 1bar pressure, you'll feel it if it does as you'll lose power for moment. I think (from memory) you'll also get a warning light on dash illuminate. It is just a safety feature and will do no damage.

I'd suggest double checking you don't already have an FCD fitted though first; check under passenger carpet and make sure there is nothing spliced into the ECU wiring. Ideally I'd also have a boost gauge fitted to monitor boost levels.

Already got a Gauge and checked for a FCD. Nothing there (just a lil kmph->mph converter).

Problem is: What happens first?

Spike hitting the turbos or ECU shutting off.

Ive absolutly no problem if the ECU stops me. I just wont damage my turbos :)

Hey guys,

tried the ettc mod today. But i´ve some problems.

I wired all up and tried to give it a go.

In both positions (ttc and non ttc) the first Turbo spools up and start boosting to 0.6bar (as usual with non ttc). But at 4300rpm the second turbo does not kick in. Instead my boost keeps drowning from 0.6bar slowly to 0.4bar and so on.

Anyone got an idea?
