supra matt Posted September 25, 2012 Author Share Posted September 25, 2012 Cant belive i have not done anything to this in so long but time for an update as i finally have some time back to myself its time to get this finished (I HOPE lol) well tonight i stated on my engine i have a uk spec i brought as it had just had a brand new water and oil pump fitted, I will be ditching the uk head in favour for a j-spec i have with hks 264 cams , im not building the engine just going to refresh it with new piston rings , big ends and arp head bolts as only looking for around 570 to 600 bhp. his some pics of the engine i started tearing it down . supra matt Posted November 1, 2012 Author Share Posted November 1, 2012 well small update again not done much as been busy , i've now removed the sump and cleaned the block face and piston tops using 3m roloc bristle brush also checked the crank thrust clearance which was with the book figures , next job is pistons out and new rings. supra matt Posted November 5, 2012 Author Share Posted November 5, 2012 (edited) - - - Updated - - - got some more done took the pistons out to deglaze the bores and fit new rings and bearings while i was at it i checked all the bores to make sure they were still with in the book figures. If the seal is inside the stud holes, can't see there being a problem.
