Anyone gone from a 3G iphone to 3GS

I'm using the 2g one just now and system wise it's plenty fast.

Push email works great and browsing is done via wi-fi, only reason for updating is for the satnav.

The sat nav is appauling. Even the Tom Tom one is rubbish at the moment. To reroute takes time and if you loose signal (which it does) it takes for ever to refind location. So if you are going somewhere you don't know your fecked.

Maybe in future Tom Tom will develop it. But my Tom Tom One is back out and will be until they get it right

Why?

The UI is much faster, which is an improvement I would pay some money for. Video recording is a nice feature that should have been there from the start too.

It's mainly the overall processor power that interests me though.

I, however, am holding out for the next iPhone next year. I'll get one when that comes out on whichever network suits me best :)

As I do not have much money, the differences in the iPhones are not enough for me to pay premium upgrade price whilst I am still in contract. If it was £50 more, I would sign for another 18 months.... but it isnt.

:yeahthat: I do hope one of the near future updates will activate the video recording on the 3g iPhone, as it's only software after all.

Won't happen dude - the issue is a hardware limitation. The 3G can only pull about 15fps due to the processor :(

3GS for video-shooting fans.

I am waiting until the next iteration.
