Bonnet release wire mechanism problem

Hey all,

Last night I got the beast out :)

I already knew the bonnet was stuck shut, so the main aim was to get it up again.

It turned out that the small natural plastic box that joins the cable running from the inside of the car - to the two cables running to the release mechanisms - had come away from its mounted position.

With nothing to hold this box from moving the bonnet catches fail to release.

Can someone please take a quick piccy of where exactly this should be mounted? Then I can pop it back in the exact same place.

cheers

Mark

if that white box is not secured down, it will not make the bonnet catch not work.

Chances are that the cables that go into the white box may be broken or where the cables go into the catches on the front panel, where they slot in, they can break away quite easy which will not allow them to operate...

have a look...if you need one i should have them in stock...

I have no broken cables - yet the mechanism still does not work.

The latches are fully functional (can be set by pressing down)

On my car - the position of this natural plastic box does seem to make a difference . Will trace cables anyway, maybe a kink ?

Ide still like a pic if anyone has one , best to mount it back in its proper place.
