well the exit looks around 3" to back box then splits in two and runs up either side of car but like the centre section and that looks stock to me not had it up on ramps yet just got it!lol but just seems very loud like the ticking clicking of an engne cooling own but louder and both sides of it till it cools

It's just the sound of the connections and metal shrinking while it cools.

If it's particularly loud it's probably just a poorly fitted (i.e. stressed) exhuast pipe.

Let it cool and check that the the entire exhaust system has adequate movement without being under presure or hitting any of the chassis. Also make sure that the exhaust hangers are not stretched out or cracked, if they are, replace them, it's only a couple of quid.

If all checks ourt then it's normal, the ticks from exhausts get louder the larger the pipe gets, so if your previous cars didn't have such long or large diameter pipes without expansion joints it might explain why you are not used to it.

My old single used to make ticking sounds for 20 minutes after stopping (4inch straight through, 7 foot pipe)

you have answered it yourself, you asked about the noise from both sides of the car and have just said that the exhaust splits in two and travels up the car, so yes the noise is normal and sound travels so even if it was after market and a single pipe travelling the car you would still hear it on both sides of the car.

yeah i knew it was the exhaust and cooling but with it being so loud and never heaing that so loud before i thought i might ask to see if anyone maybe knew of a known problem or fault with these? i never had a supra before so dont know them or any of thier traits.

ill get it up on ramps over next couple of days and give it a going over
