adi2009
Hi, well basically these r the list of mods done to my J-spec TT:- Walbro 255 lph fuel pump Decatted Greddy BCC FMIC Iridium spark plugs K&N Intake What is the next possible mod that i can do to increase power remaining on the stock twins???? cheers adi
Clarkey
I'd consider a decent aftermarket exhaust & a Fuel Cut Defender.
heckler
boost controller of some sort, FSE/Aeromotive FPR's...
Homer
Without spending silly money theres a few things you can do to increase power... That said you're getting to the stage where you need to be fitting safety mods rather than power ones, what boost are you seeing? - Dyno run to see if everything is running well! - Decent aftermarket exhaust - FCD & restrictor ring - Boost controller - Fit stock airbox - Uprated Fuel pressure regulator - A good service (inc new fuel filter) - If not already fitted: Boost gauge (doesn't add performance but is essential ensure you don't overboost)
Clarkey
Doh! The BCC is a FCD isn't it ? Imho - a boost controller with a fully decatted exhaust system on stock twins is a waste of money unless a single or hybrids are in use. I'd be inclined to spend £17 on a restrictor ring - rather than £200 odd on a boost controller & declaring it on your insurance. Just my thoughts. adi2009
ya the BCC is the greddy equivalent of the FCD. i m thinking of installing the UK spec cams and injectors. but would it significantly improve performance???
Nic
Free flowing aftermarket exhaust would be the next logical performance modification. I would then fit 550cc injectors, fuel pressure regulator and e-manage, then get dynoed and mapped to run at 1.25bar. You'll see very little benefit from fitting cams with your current spec. ....and dump the K&N filter and fit stock airbox and panel filter. Gazboy
Why use the stock air box over a cone air-filter?
merckx
Why use the stock air box over a cone air-filter? Better filtration and you have a cold air intake, most aftermarket air intake systems will be sucking warm air from the engine bay and the filtration is worse which isn't good! Terminator
An EGT gauge would be worth adding to keep and eye on cylinder temps.

TLicense
Hi, well basically these r the list of mods done to my J-spec TT:- Walbro 255 lph fuel pump Decatted Greddy BCC FMIC Iridium spark plugs K&N Intake What is the next possible mod that i can do to increase power remaining on the stock twins???? cheers adi Well I agree a dyno run to make sure it's all singing from the same hymn sheet wouldn't go amiss. What boost level are you running at? The stock twins with a full decat and no restrictor ring will quite often boost up to 1.2 bar. (Which is nearing the limit of what the turbo's will efficiently produce and also what the injectors are capable of supporting) So basically I wouldn't worry too much about boost controllers and the like. Also I wouldn't bother with a FSE/Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. It's been commented on a few times, and there's nothing wrong with the stock item. Especially at your level of mods/fuel requirement. Unfortunately you're at the level IMHO where things are going to get pricey. So yeah sorting yourself out with a decent set of gauges and probes to monitor the stuff that's going to be important when you take the next step may well be not a bad idea. Oh also, personally, I'd keep the stock airbox
