Any chance of thread back, is this the £70,000 car that was put up?!?!?

Last time i look at that thread nothing had kicked off.

Didn't really kick off, but the guy clearly read into every comment about him and his car to be some kind of slating. He then would bite peoples heads off for no reason. The guy also had an ego the size of a small country.

I stopped reading the thread before getting near the end, as he was winding me up :D

I think that's being a bit light on him to be honest.

I only read one post yesterday, the very last one before the thread got wiped.

In short, his car is superior to everyones, comparing it to any 'trashy' single is an insult to him and We are all thick with a less than average IQ (well I knew that anyway, and didn't need a Danish tw@tflap pointing it out to me)

I hope he doesn't sell it.

so the guy had a big ego, had a go at people on here and didnt agree with most and he got banned for it?

wow, surprised many others havent gone as well on that basis.

He wasn't friendly and was insulting to all supra owners. Not exactly the type for a supra owners club.

Forums are for discussion and sharing opinions regardless of whether they are good or not, all he was interested in was telling us how awesome him and his car is and how crap us and ours are.

No it has been removed, i don't think it has been deleted but as it was a "for sale" thread and the member who started it has been banned its not really available for sale on the forum anymore.

FWIW i don't think it was what he said or how he said it on this one off occasion, it has to be taken into account that this is all we would ever see from the guy and it really isn't needed. We already have Matt H afterall :D

The fact that he wasn't prepared to provide anyone with dyno readings etc was a false start.

He couldn't back up his claims yet expected people just to 'believe' what he said the car spec was.

I did like the look of it though.

A bit strange that he spent over £140,000 building it and then was selling it for just 50% of the build cost.

When asked why he was selling it he replied it was due to having crappy roads were he lives so couldn't drive it.

Did he not think of this before he spent £140,000

If I recall correctly he claimed the car owed him £150K, every nut and bolt one of Toyota's finest new ones. He was making big unsubstantiated claims. As Miguel kindly pointed out to him there were proven better examples going for a lot less that the £70k he wanted and from proven car builders.

When it comes to being a member of a club whether the car is a standard Auto N/A or a raced fuelled monster, they are members cars and as such require respect. This guy was too blind to see that he had alienated so many members by insulting any other built Supras.

He may have done a brilliant job in building the car, but that is for others to judge not for the builder to claim. It is a shame he could not have shown some humility as it would have been interesting to see if the car lived up to his claims.

Be grateful you never bought anything off the guy like I did, had a nightmare wee while after I had paid for the goods (£2000) as he asked me to pay it directly to MVP as he was due them money. Then he objected to the exchange rate

Having said that when I finally received the parts they were excellent

I belive it's in the land of the moderator now. You need to be red, orange or green to view it :D

Actually the Greenies can't read it either ;)

Anyway...

The guy was a total c@#k, but too many of you took the bait and were being overly aggressive and nasty in return. Sometimes it's better to hang back from giving someone a piece of your mind, no matter if you are right or not.

I'm sure that if KDW want's to sell his prized mostest bestest everest Supra you'll see it for sale on other sites and then you can quiz him some more.

Who's kidnaped Alex, and what have you done with him?
