face/neck tattoos

It all depends what it is aswell. Content is going to have as much influence on opinion as the fact you have visible tats :)

Stars and stuff I'd imagine to be fine to be honest.

I was looking at a very cool logo but decided against it because it incorporates a very distinguishable pentagram. I think that would give very wrong impressions being on my forearm! :)

to be honest, i'd say go for it if your certain it's the design you want, i have both my forarms tattoo'd and am planning on getting my chest piece next month if i can perfect my design, it will go up to the bottom part of my neck. I am the kind of person who will regret NOT getting my tattoos done, the way i see it is that in 20 years time i will look back on these experiances and enjoy them. Plus if you really did want to be a policeman or whatever in 10 years time then you can allways get them lasered off.. you will have had 10 years enjoyment out of them and laser is very affective nowadays.

she died her hair brown, and yes she was a mechanic, but got so much abuse and even got hit about where she was working its put her off working in the male environment which is a shame!

i thought tribal and stars are a bit more appealing then pics so wouldnt look so bad

people always say about my arms how i will regret it one day...well that one day aint any time soon!

just head and neck is another level just having a serious think about it, as opposed to my other tats i done when bored lol!

Massive step going to 'in your face' tattoos. I have a large tribal design on my arm and would like to extend it around my shoulder and just poking up above the collar as my arm one just pokes out past short shirt sleeves. I like the 'hint' at tattoos look rather than the 'look at me' tattoos. Makes it more for you than anyone else.

Just my opinion of course, but tribal is the thing for a lot of kids so may look naff in a few years and you can't hide it on your face.

Hi mate ive got both sides of my neck tattooed, got a bio skull 1 side and a bio torn flesh on the other, ive also got a sleeve on 1 arm and 4 tattoos on the other. The reaction i got from workmates and friends when i got my 1st neck done was omg wtf have you done that doesnt suit you, mainly cos im a quiet guy who doesnt like to stand out so its a shock me doing that, my parents went mad mum started crying saying why would you do that you look like a thug but i liked it. Had a few good comments from people who liked it, then it looked bare on the other side so i got that done as well. I think you would suit it if you have a lot of tattoos. 90% of the time i like them other times when i want to be respectable im really embarrassed about them and try to hide them. Point is if you really want it go for it theres always laser removal if you get fed up with it.

Based on the pictures Lee, you look like a thug anyway so you may aswell have them done....:sly::D

Seriously though, people will judge you by things like that. It may not bother you now but there will come a time when it will be important ie attractive lady, policeman, judge etc....;)

Food for thought eh?

Um thanks? Lol. But its ok no offence taken im used to it. People have always thought that about me until they talk to me and then they say how they shouldnt judge. Just makes me try harder to prove a point. The only thing its good for is when im in the cage, makes my opponents think more ;) lol. Thing is with my tats i had them for me, i rarely take my top off in summer as i aint a poser so thats not the reason i started getting tats unlike some people its the opposite. I find it funny seein blokes who have a 'itch' on there upper arm which needs a stylish scratch that some how lifts there sleeve to show a tat. Lol.

I just realised that i do that.....:D I have one on each upper arm and they are the only tats I have. This makes me a fanny by comparison...!!:D

I have just had my first done and can now see the addiction people get with them.

It is entirely up to you but there will always be people who judge books by their cover.

I would say that if you ate in any doubt then don't get it. If you have already decided on having it then go for it.

Your existing ink is very nice btw.

both arms are covered, when i say visible i mean that cant be hidden with a shirt! lol!

well im a electrician at the moment and cant ever see me leaving the trade.

thats why i thought head over neck as i could grow my hair? currently a skin head

I am a sparky mate, and its just a thought and i appreciate it should have nothing to do with your looks, more about the quality of your work, but how would it look turning up at a customers house to price a job covered in tattoo's, its only a small thing but could make a lot of difference to work gained.

however if your employed and plan on remaining so then it aint to much of an issue.
