McDonalds M Burger

I agree, he will have to answer to the issue and quickly

It looks to me that it maybe a case of the turn around not being followed, it looks like it has been sitting in the hot cupboard beyond the McD's set time, something they take very seriously, the lettuce is "cooked" not off

They have timers going off all over the place, they have set times for food to be held, it is then supposed to be discarded, thats why you wait for some items from time to time as they dont make too many of the more "limited sellers"

As a franchise owner on very little margin, waste is money and he seems to be cutting corners and not following rules :)

It's McDonald's. What do you expect? Houte cuisine?! ;)

I bet it tasted alright though!

Uncle Sams is probably the best of the chains IMO.

Not copping out trust me they'll be watching to see how he replies ;-)

Looks like you are right :)

Firstly, I must stress that all contacts are taken very seriously, whether they relate to a

privately owned restaurant or otherwise and, as any business must recognise, customer

feedback is a critical element to improving a Company's performance.

From a franchisee's perspective, customer satisfaction is also of paramount importance

and they are keen to handle all complaints professionally and promptly. As such, the

owners demand the right to respond to their own contacts in order to resolve situations

and regain the customer's faith in their business. However, this does not mean that they

are not monitored and measured in a similar way to company owned outlets, so that areas

of improvements can be addressed.

We welcome customer feedback on any aspect of our business and your comments are

therefore appreciated and noted.

I worked in a Burger King once. Literally one shift, that was enough to put me off.

The bit that put me off ever eating them was the way the burgers are cooked. Sure they're flame grilled, but then they go into a steamer. Where they can sit for anything up to a couple of hours.

When finally a customer comes in and orders one of the burgers, you take the burger out of the steamer, and put it in the bun with all the salad and sauces. You then have to pop the burger into the microwave to kill off any bacteria that may have started to grow whilst the burger is in the steamer.

It's obviously all above board as far as preparing food goes, but it just doesn't sit right with me.

Anyway, as I said, I only worked one shift. They expected us to work from 6 pm through to close, which was about 12:30 IIRC. We then spent a good hour and a half cleaning and tidying up. However we were only paid till 11. From memory I got £13 for the nights work.

Still it wasn't too bad as I then got a job two days later as a beer taster! :D Happy days!

I worked there for a summer when I finished school.

It was a good laugh because everyone was a similar age and my sister's boyfriend at the time was the manager. I didn't eat the food for aggges after working there, just because it's all a bit weird.

Oh and whilst I was there, a girl got sacked for putting frozen patties on her head because she was hot whilst at the grill.

Why not? This reminds of the passenger who took pictures of his ghastly Virgin Airline meal and emailed them to Branson, who to be fair, publically made the whole email available.

Edit: oh look, here's that thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=175217&highlight=branson

This tickled me from the above link Lbm, The link :D

I know it looks like a baaji but it's in custard Richard, custard.

It's mustard Richard. MUSTARD

it formed a cheese Richard, a cheese.

Finally I got a response from the branch, this is after harassing Head Office several more times :D

Firstly, may I apologise for the poor standard of service, which you received when you visited McDonald’s on the Fife Leisure Park in Dunfermline. At McDonald’s, we pride ourselves on our high standards, and it is clear from your comments that we failed to deliver a high level of service when you visited our restaurant.

I can fully understand your dissatisfaction with the events that you describe. I have investigated this matter fully and have spoken to the Shift Manager and the staff that were concerned and emphasized that their quality of your food was not to the level required, nor was the delay in which contacting yourself acceptable.

We do have systems in place for ensuring that each customer receives quality food and quick, accurate service but it seems that these systems were not being used effectively when you visited. I would like to take this opportunity to offer you a replacement order for you and your family at your convenience. You can contact me via email or alternatively call me if you wish to discus this issue further, a note has been made in the store to offer you the complementary meals if you could just make yourself known to a manager in store.

I thank you again for bringing this to my attention, and hope you will take us up on our offer.

Sincerely,

Graeme Spence

Assistant Manager

Dunfermline Drive Thru

It's the same with burger king, they are all franchises. Still, you'd think they'd want the Mcdonalds image to be kept under control wouldn't you.

Not every McD's are franchised. A lot of them are still owned internally with the others franchised. Easiest way to tell sometimes is the franchises often opt out of a lot of the promos that are advertised in the main stream media.......the old BOGOF offer that they used to run for a different burger each day of the week at the turn of the new year used to see a lot of franchises opt out as they took an absolute hammering with it being constantly busy.

I can't understand why people go to sh*tholes like Macdonalds or Burger King when, for usually less money, you can get a far better filled, far healthier sandwich at any number of independent places.

To put it bluntly, if you are unhappy with a fast food meal you only have yourself to blame. I'd like to see them all wiped from the face of the Earth.

On a related note: What's up with (usually McD) packaging that winds up in the middle of nowhere? I recently spotted a McD box thing after walking on the North Yorks moors for over an hour from a car-park. Considering that the nearest McDs must have been many miles away did someone really have the bright idea to buy a hot burger, drive at least 20 miles and then walk for an hour before eating it stone cold?

Bothered me a few times that. How the heck does it get there? :( Cotswolds, Dartmoor, Portland and not a MacSh1te anywhere near. :(
