A mate of mine at work is a huge aero modeller, has about 40 planes and choppers, he and his dad should be just about finished their Turbine powered Huey project I had one of those 3d mini choppers, great fun until I destroyed it, its still sat in its box in pieces.... SupraAyf
Nice one Ed, I have always wanted an RC heli but with my skills and knowledge of flying RC models, it would probably last all of 2 minutes:(

Aero-M
Lovely Ed, I have just sold my raptor 60. I could have given you some advice on the gy611 as I had that fitted to my 60, It took a fair while setting mine up. Wasn't until full throttle I found out it wasn't 100% setup and almost lost it, But got there in the end. I didn't want to sell the 60, But I have a raptor 30, raptor 50, T rex 600 and now a t rex 500, The 60 was just to expensive to risk crashing. Im going for the airwolf scale kit for my 500 and leaving the rest for sport and gentle 3d flying.

Mostly programming both ESC, GYRO and TX side. Recently had a strange problem - On spin-up to take off just before lift the power to the engine would suddenly cut. Returning throttle to zero and reapplying power, runs ok until I reach take off RPM again when power cuts to the motor. Removing blades and bench testing and the model seemed fine with the power curve and throttle response upto full throttle ok. With blades replaced the power continued to cut-out. - Think it was a battery fault resulting in its voltage sagging too much when you open the throttle wide with the added strain and drag from the blades. Just running a new set of batteries now and it seems ok.

SupraStar 3000
Sometimes Colin my dear friend, A man needs to stand up and defend his right to quality time in his shed, garage or bedroom by himself. Its essential for any relationship. oh, but dont tell Sarah, she thinks i've been making hanging baskets or some such guff.

Kirk
awesome bit of kit a lad at work had 1 of these. Unfortunatly whilst testing the range its sorta slipped out of range and carried on flying into the night sky
SupraStar 3000
Thanks mate I've flown out of range once before with another Helicopter. Amazingly I was very luck as I managed to run towards the model and regain control just before it hit the ground. Orientation is very difficult when your model is just a dot in the sky! SupraStar 3000
Cheers mate. When its not running you can actually hear the strobes charge / pop when they flash like the real thing. Also has a spotlight, landing light and tail strobes.
